Microvita — Subtle Bridges Between Mind and Matter

Microvita are proposed subtle entities—“micro-life”—that operate at scales subtler than atoms or subatomic particles, mediating interactions between physical structures and mental/psychic phenomena. Introduced by Shrii P.R. Sarkar in a series of discourses (1986–1989) and later compiled in Microvitum in a Nutshell, this emerging framework invites cross-disciplinary research linking physics, biology, cognition, and spirituality.

What Are Microvita?

In Sarkar’s formulation, microvita function as creative “catalyzing agents” active across physical, biological, and mental domains—conceptually positioned between ectoplasm (mental substance) and electrons, yet distinct from both. They are sometimes described as positive, neutral, or negative in their effects on health and cognition.

Scholars and practitioners view microvita theory as speculative but potentially unifying—suggesting future frameworks in which subjective experience and objective science converge.

Foundations & Theory

Systematizing Sarkar’s discourses; clarifying terms; mapping proposed roles of microvita in cosmology, life, and mind; and surveying prior interpretations and critiques.

Life & Health Interfaces

Exploring hypotheses that microvita influence biological organization, vitality, and disease/defense pathways—while differentiating testable claims from metaphysical context.

Cognition & Consciousness

Investigating whether subtle organizational processes could relate to attention, memory, emotion regulation, and contemplative states—connecting with ANGT’s cognitive science program.

Methods, Measures & Ethics

Cross-Disciplinary Review

Textual analysis of discourses; historiography; comparative frameworks (physics/biology/cognition) to identify convergences and testable seams.

Empirical Adjuncts

Physiological and behavioral paradigms (non-diagnostic), data minimization, and open protocols where feasible. Results are documented as tentative and exploratory.

Ethics & Transparency

Informed consent, right to withdraw, cultural sensitivity, clear separation of spiritual practice from scientific inference, and preregistration where appropriate.

Perspective: Many claims remain speculative; ANGT emphasizes careful language, incremental validation, and respect for both scientific method and spiritual inquiry.
